Indication for use

Flumixan 5% powder it’s indicated for the control and treatment of the following parasites:

Swine:  Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Oesophagostomum dentatum, Trichuris suis, Strongyloides ransomi, Metastrongylus apri 

Poultry (chicken, turkey, pheasant) Syngamus trachea, Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Capillaria spp., Amidostomum anseris, Trichostrogylus tenius, Raillietina spp.

Composition for 100 g : Flubendazole 5 g

Amounts to be administered and administration route

Oral route.

FLUMIXAN 5% powder should be well mixed in the feed and the medicated feed administered. 

Pigs

Piglets and fattening pigs: 30 ppm flubendazole (600g FLUMIXAN/ton of feed) in feed for 5 days. In case of severe infections with Trichuris suis, the animals should be treated for 10 days.

Breeding pigs: 30 ppm flubendazole (600g FLUMIXAN/ton of feed) in feed for 10 consecutive days. 

Individual and single administration: 5 mg/kg b.w. flubendazole (10g FLUMIXAN/100 kg body weight) strewn over or mixed in the feed 5 days. In case of severe infections with Trichuris suis, the animals should be treated for 10 days. 

Poultry

Chicken - 30 ppm flubendazole (600 g FLUMIXAN/ton of feed) for 7 consecutive days.

In case of infection with tapeworms (Railletina spp.): 60 ppm flubendazole (1200 g FLUMIXAN/ton of feed) for 7 consecutive days.

Turkey- 20 ppm flubendazole (400 g FLUMIXAN/ton of feed) for 7 consecutive days

Pheasants: 60 ppm flubendazole (1200 g FLUMIXAN / ton of feed) for 7 consecutive days.       

Withdrawal period: Meat and offal: swine: 10 days, poultry: 7 days; Eggs: 7 days

Special precaution for storage

Shelf-life of the veterinary medicinal product as packaged for sale: 3 years. Shelf-life after first opening the immediate packaging: 2 months. Shelf-life after incorporation into meal or pelleted feed: 2 moths. Store in a cool and dry place out of the direct sunlight

- laminated aluminium foil bag  x 10 g;

- heat-sealed polyethylene sack within a white polypropylene box / polyethylene screw cap with safety seal x 600 g and 1 kg;

- heat-sealed polyethylene sack and kraft bag x 6 kg, 12 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg, 50 kg
