Indications for use, specifying the target species

Vermitan 10% is recommended for bovine, sheep, goats and free-living ruminants (where diagnosis was confirmed) for prevention and treatment of pulmonary and gastro-intestinal nematodosis, cestodosis and trematodosis due to parasites sensitive to albendazol action:

Sheep, goat: nematode infestation (adult and larval forms), cestode infestation, trematode infestation (adult forms)

Cattle: nematode infestation (adult and larval forms), cestode infestation, trematode infestation (adult forms)

Free-living ruminants: nematode infestation, cestode infestation

 

Composition for 1 ml:

Active substance: Albendazole 100 mg, Excipients: Benzyl alcohol 10 mg

 

Amounts to be administered and administration route

Administration via oral route.

Cattle:

General dose: 7.5 ml / 100 kg b.w. (7.5 mg albendazole / kg b.w.).

For the additional treatment of mature fluke infection and the Ostertagiosis type-II the dose must be 10 ml /100 kg b.w. (10 mg albendazole / kg b.w.)

Sheep, goat:

General dose: 0.5 ml / 10 kg b.w. (5 mg albendazole / kg b.w.). For the additional treatment of Protostrongylidosis and mature flukes infection the dose must be 0.75 ml / 10 kg b.w. (7.5 mg albendazole / kg b.w.)

Free-living ruminants:

7 – 10 ml / 100 kg b.w. (7 – 10 mg albendazole / kg b.w.)

 

Withdrawal period(s)

Meat and offal: 9 days

Milk: 84 hours (7 milkings)

 

Storage

Shelf-life of the product as packaged for sale: 3 years. Shelf-life after first opening the immediate packaging: 3 months. Store in original packaging, protected from light. Do not store above 25°C

 

Packaging

1 litre and 5 litres.
